Elton John 2018 Tour Information

Farewell Yellow Brick Road is the upcoming farewell tour by British musician Elton John. It is set to begin in Allentown, Pennsylvania on 8 September 2018. The tour will consist on more than 300 shows around the world, finishing in 2021.

On 24 January 2018, it was announced that John would be retiring from touring and would soon embark on a three-year farewell tour. The first concert is set to take place at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania on 8 September 2018 followed by an extensive tour of the United States before moving on to Europe. John cited spending time with his children as the reason for his retirement, saying, "Ten years ago if you asked me if I would stop touring I would have said no. But we had children and that changed our lives. I have had an amazing life and career but my life has changed. My priorities are now my children and my husband and my family."

Regarding the Editing Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour on the official press release John stated: "Performing live fuels me and I'm ecstatic and humbled to continue to play to audiences across the globe. I plan to bring the passion and creativity that has entertained my fans for decades to my final tour."

Update: After selling out the first 60 dates of his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” live-retirement tour, Elton John has added a dozen North American concerts.

The singer was honored at the Grammy Awards via a duet with Miley Cyrus of his 1971 song “Tiny Dancer,” and again two days later at the taping of the all-star TV special “I’m Still Standing: A Grammy Salute,” which airs in April. He is finishing up a Las Vegas residency that ends in May, then launches the farewell tour on September 8 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The announcement notes: “In the course of his three-year FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD worldwide tour, Elton John plans to visit North America multiple times.
